Rescue and Release -This kookaburra made it back to a tree!

The member of public was invited to the release and experienced the joy of a great outcome. The Kookaburra, after a little time and some aerial antics from the other kookaburras, flew up to a light tower over a sports ground, he called out, the others answered and then they all reunited back in the pine tree.💚🌿 A great effort by all x

What an awesome outcome for this Kookaburra! We received a call from a caring member of public about a Kookaburra caught in a fence. We quickly organised one of our volunteer rescue and transporters to attend.

After the kookaburra was gently rescued from the fence an assessment was carried out by a wildlife shelter and our kookaburra was sent to Healesville wildlife hospital for treatment and some convalescing. Further care gave our kookaburra much needed rehabilitation until he was ready to be released.
