Blue Tongue Lizards

Please keep an eye out

When the weather starts warming up, reptiles like the Blue-tongued lizard are waking up from their winter sleep and love to get out and bask in the sun. They are very fond of sun baking on the road so please keep an eye out for them whilst driving.

Blue-tongued lizards are a great pest control service to your home, snacking on snails,  caterpillars  and insects. It’s very common to see one in your backyard at this time of year.

If you are lucky enough to spot one the best option is to remove any immediate danger to the lizard, such as keeping your pets inside and letting them move on of their own accord.
