Look up!

It’s pup season for the Flying Fox and tired female bats end up electrocuted on our overhead powerlines when they attempt to rest as the fly back to their colony. It’s hard work flying with a pup on board! Sadly if their wings come too close to the second wire they are electrocuted but the tiny pup they have onboard often survives.

Please look up. If you see a Flying Fox call us for help immediately. Our volunteers along with the help of Utility services will attend to rescue the pups and transport them to specialised carers who will rehabilitate them ready for release late summer.
